Knee injury rules out Aston Villa's Charles N'Zogbia for a month

Aston Villa, whose Premier League status is by no means secure, will be without the winger Charles N'Zogbia for a month. With their next two games at home to Chelsea and away to Liverpool, Villa have sent N'Zogbia to see a specialist in his native France. The club want to determine the extent of the knee injury he suffered in a training ground collision last week.N'Zogbia's absence adds to an already lengthy injury list with full-back Alan Hutton on the sidelines with a calf injury. Villa are eight points above the relegation zone with nine matches to play.
The Villa manager, Alex McLeish, said: "Charles is going to get specialist attention in Paris. We've just got to see if his knee is going to take much longer to heal. We think it's a medial knee ligament problem, maybe three or four weeks out.
"It happened in a training ground collision with Gary Gardner. They banged knees together and Charles kind of opened his knee up a little bit."
The Villa manager added: "Alan Hutton came off with a calf injury [in the 3-0 defeat at Arsenal] and he could be out for two or three weeks. He'll need a scan."
